Nathar Netherstar was the previous lord of the Emberlight and upon his death he was succeeded by his son Izulde Netherstar. His reign, although brief compared to other lords of the southern thalassian province, was marked with a expansion of territory into the southern Amani Mountains bordering Zul’Gamni. He is also responsible for the creation of fifteen way fortresses located in the mountains to protect the Inner Vale of the Emberlight.
While he was not remembered particularly fondly, Nathar is respected as a shrewd politician and a decisive leader. While his choices always greatly favored his own household versus the province as a whole, he did greatly expand the prestige and renown of the often forgotten province.
