The Festival of Masks, is a long standing tradition within the Emberlight to celebrate the memory of honored family and victories of battle. This festival includes the donning of a mask to hide one’s eyes so that they may assume the body and spirit of a fallen loved one. Each person wears a mask of their choosing and takes the name of an ancestor whom has departed from the world. Throughout the evening, the attendees of the festival will speak as their ancestor would, say their name in remembrance, and live the night through them. Upon the final hour of the festival all masks will be revealed, and the guests of the festival will speak the name of the person whom they had adorned.
