The Battle of the Bleeding Ziggurat, was the final battle during the Invasion of Zul'Aman and a decisive defeat for the combined sin'dorei forces of the Sunguard and House Netherstar. The battle itself would take place as the massive temple city known as the Bleeding Ziggurat. While the elven forces were able to defeat the alliance of Amani Trolls and Zandalari Warband, they were surprised by the appearance of the High Necromancer Akhlain, who appeared with his Black Necropolis over the field of battle. It was later realized that the High Necromancer had staged both invasions of the Emberlight and Zul'Aman to create massive amount of undead so they he can raise into undeath. The Archon Felthier Truefeather was forced to call a retreat of all their forces, hastily pulling his armies out of Zul'Aman and returning to the Dawnspire. The battle cost hundreds of lives and more significantly half of the Crimson Fleet.
